Ek haat dit as daar na my verwys word as 'n "verbruiker" (of erger nog, "consumer"). Asof ek net bestaan om goed te koop sodat ander mense kan geld maak om ook goed te koop.

you know. i thought about this a little while ago. about how much i consume (i know what you mean about the label itself, but this is just a thought i had on the matter). and the fact is i found that i was just taking in all the time - television, movies, food, buying stuff - taking in and leaving waste. the question was for all this taking in - consuming of stuff both figurative and literal - what was i actually putting back? the whole system is geared towards objectification of lives and values.

Jy sal nie van Engeland hou nie. Hier is mense TROTS om consumers genoem te word.Hul beskou dit as "RETAIL THERAPY". Ek het in my lewe nog nie mense sien koop sommer net vir die saak van koop nie. LAERSKOOL kinders wat die nuutste selfone en laptops kry sommer maar net.
